What Star Wars Character are You Based on Your Sign

CBR.com‘s Louis Kemner asks how can “Star Wars” fans figure out which character they can identify with the most? One surefire method is to consult the horoscope, which has three signs for each of the classical Greek elements. From Aries to Capricorn to Scorpio, these signs can help fans determine which Star Wars original trilogy character acts and thinks most like them.

Aries (March 21 – April 19): Luke Skywalker
Over time, Luke gradually changed into a more serene and meditative character, and that’s what made him a wise and patient teacher for Rey in The Last Jedi. But in his younger days, Luke was a go-getter, a young man who dreamed of the stars, like his father once had. An Aries is dyanamic, takes the initiative and feels quite competitive, which definitely describes Luke in the original trilogy..

Taurus (April 20 – May 20): R2-D2
R2-D2 is a bit of an action hero himself, but he’s not the star of the show. Instead, this astromech droid prefers to play a supporting role, and he can be rather stubborn and strong-willed, much to C-3PO’s chagrin (such as when they crash-landed on Tatooine). R2-D2 knows what must be done and will tirelessly carry it out, and he enjoys a good oil bath just like C-3PO. These are certainly the qualities of a Taurus, who is strong, reliable and stubborn like a bull.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20): Lando Calrissian
Lando is Luke Skywalker’s old friend, and as of The Empire Strikes Back, he was living it up in Cloud City. In his slightly younger years, he flew around in the Millennium Falcon, and once helped Han steal valuable goods from Kessel. A Gemini is a curious, smart and creative person who’s always moving on from one project to another, and Lando certainly does keep himself busy. He’s not the type to get too tied down.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): Aunt Beru
This kind older woman is Luke’s foster mother, known as Aunt Beru. She runs a moisture farm with her husband Lars, and what little of her is shown 0n-screen depicts her as a compassionate and nurturing person, despite the harsh lifestyle she leads. A little of her is also seen in the prequel trilogy, and it’s perfectly clear that Beru is a Cancer: protective, fond of home-cooked meals, intuitive and compassionate. Luke was fortunate to have her in his life.

Leo (July 23 – August 22): Han Solo
Leo is another fire sign among the horoscope’s twelve signs, but it differs slightly from Aries. A Leo is known for being extroverted and expressive, and Leos are self-assured people who are outgoing and love to party. As a smuggler, Han avoided making a show of things by trade, but deep down, he’s the type to connect with people and either make good friends, or just try to use them somehow. He’s also quite blunt and honest, and he’s not afraid to get into an argument and dial up the drama.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22): Uncle Lars
Uncle Lars is the husband of Aunt Beru, and like his wife, he is a down-to-earth moisture farmer who doesn’t like to stir up trouble. He spent 20 hard years raising Luke, and he’s more gruff than Beru but no less devoted as a foster parent. He’s a patient, methodical and analytical farmer, ensuring his farm stays in business for many years. Hence, he is a Virgo, an earth sign known for such traits.

Libra (September 23 – October 22): Princess Leia
Princess Leia Organa was raised on Alderaan, far away from her twin brother Luke. She isn’t an idle princess, though; she has a strong sense of justice and fairness that compelled her to take action and help the victims of the oppressive Empire. Leia strives to bring balance back to the galaxy, with or without the Force, and she is creative and social without being too hot-headed like an Aries or Leo. All of this makes her an exemplary Libra, an air sign known for its desire for balance and connecting to others.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21): Emperor Palpatine
None of the twelve astrological signs are predisposed toward good or evil, but due to their traits, some of them more easily define heroes or villains than others. Scorpio is a water sign that is based on being patient, cunning and observant, and waiting for the precisely right time to act for maximum results. Often, it is villains who act that way, and Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine is indeed observant and waits for the right time to spring his traps and launch his schemes.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21): Biggs Darklighter
Biggs Darklighter is a minor character at best, but he is an important part of Luke’s life, and he is a fine example of the Sagittarius astrological sign. It’s a fire sign that represents the spirit of adventure and the burning desire to explore and see new things. Indeed, Biggs ventured off of Tatooine, beating Luke to the Imperial Academy for pilots before joining the Rebellion. He was eager to fly and see the stars, and he did it.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19): Grand Moff Tarkin
Grand Moff Tarkin is a high-ranking officer in the Empire, commanding enough power and respect to talk back to Darth Vader and get away with it. He is tirelessly seeking the hidden Rebel base, and he is disciplined and methodical as his rank and success rate would suggest. All that marks Tarkin as a Capricorn, another earth sign. These people are tenacious, disciplined and goal-oriented. Slowly but surely, they get what they want.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18): Yoda
Wise Jedi master Yoda survived the dreadful Jedi purge, and went into hiding on Dagobah once he made sure that Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia had their business squared away. He is an exemplary mentor, being wise, patient, insightful and flexible of mind. All that summarizes the Aquarius sign, an air sign that stands for such traits. Luke definitely needed to hear the wisdom of Yoda before he could become a full-fledged Jedi Knight.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20): Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan also survived the Jedi purge, and he settled on Tatooine and took the name Ben Kenobi while living as a hermit and monitoring Luke from afar. He is a warm and likeable person who is deeply sympathetic of otherse, and attuned to the flow of the world. Thus, Obi-Wan is quite the Pisces, a water sign noted for its artistic, empathetic, wise and spiritual nature. Like Yoda, he was an excellent teacher for Luke the trainee Jedi.
