  BRYAN

I have loved living in Southern Utah for over 25 years. You have heard that once Southern Utah gets in your blood you can never leave. That is sure true for me and my family.

Being on the HAWK has been a dream come true. Finally playing the music I grew up with. I have had a chance to meet and interview dozens of rock artists over the years and the one thing that makes them passionate about rock music is the same thing that does it for me. The memories it creates for all of us. Where I was the first time I heard Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven. That amazing slow dance I had with that certain girl when they played Nights in white satin by the Moody Blues. Graduation night jammin' to Schools Out with Alice Cooper.

All the memories, all the good times, I get them everyday and we hope you do to listening to the HAWK.

CINDY

Cindy Olson has lived all over the country doing radio for almost 26 years. Originally from Wisconsin, Cindy very much enjoys the warmer weather of southern Utah.

She has always loved all kinds of music including all the Rock and Roll the Hawk plays…..especially Queen, Def Leppard, Journey and Aerosmith.

Her secret desire has always been to date Eric Clapton and to kiss Steven Tyler on the lips. However, her husband of 14 years probably wouldn't like that very much. They are the proud parents of a guitar playin', karate kickin', Nascar lovin' son.

  JOHNNY VANN

I'm Johnny Van, mid-days on the Hawk.   My full name is John Van Wagoner. My dad was a gymnast back in his day and he performed under the name of Johnny Van.  My brother Mark Van Wagoner was doing mornings at the same  radio station so I've been Johnny Van, since my brother was using Van Wagoner, at KRSP, Rock 103 in Salt Lake back in 1973.  I did mid-days at this radio station for much of the 70's.

I got started in Radio in 1970 in Hilo, Hawaii.  I was the first all night disc jockey on the Big Island.  I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from East High School in 1969.  The day after graduation my family moved to Hawaii.

My mother told me to get a job so I went to the radio station and talked them into hiring me as a salesperson on commission only.  When the station decided to go 24 hours, I got the job as the overnight announcer!  Look Mom...I've got a job! Radio has been good to me.  I've worked in television (Ch. 2 in Salt Lake), Radio in Missoula, Montana...many, many years in Salt Lake Radio and now here I am in St. George, Utah where radio is like the good old days.  I can do mid-days on the Hawk and be the General Sales Manager!

I love the fact that I can wear different hats in this business.  In many corporate run stations, in bigger markets, you only wear one hat, whether you like it or not. I'm married (32 years) and have 3 kids.  I have on Grand Daughter (River Rosalie).  I'm very active in the outdoors and love to ski, run rivers, swim and ride my motorcycle.  I also play in a local band called VanGoh.  I sing, play the guitar and harmonica.  Music is one of my passions.  I love all kinds of music especially rock and roll!  The Beatles started it all for me in the 60's, then it was Buffalo Springfield, Crosby Stills and Nash, Steely Dan, Santana and the Grateful Dead just to name a few of my favorites.

  BRETT STEVENS

Born and raised in the New York City area, Brett has always had a dream of being a radio announcer.  When he was young, he would talk into the seat belt buckle (yeah yeah I know, but there was no seat belt laws back in the ‘ol days) and pretend to be a radio DJ.

His Dad would look into the rear-view mirror and think….my son has lost it!  For the past 31 years, Brett has been heard on a radio shows across the country, seen as a TV weather man, recording local and national voice-overs, or MC-ing events.

Brett has voiced and produced thousands of radio and television commercials including the voice of CMT’s (Country Music Television) “The Drive,” Bon Jovi’s “Crush Tour” (US West), 2002 Winter Olympic Games, and many others.

He has interviewed such great rock legends including Steve Perry of Journey, Tommy Shaw of Styx, Ted Nugent, 38 Special, Jack Bruce of Cream, He is honored to be the recipient of 24 Utah Broadcasting Awards.  Brett has had successful radio shows in NYC, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and now Southern Utah!

As you couldn’t tell, Brett loves rock and he loves doing shows every day on the HAWK!  Times are tough and all I know is that when I come on the air I want to do everything I can to make everyone’s day a little less stressful, a little less angry and a lot more motivated!  Rock can do that.  It can pump you up and take you to a better place no matter what your day has been like!  This is why my shows are a little in your face if you will.

I’m not here to put you to sleep but to wake you up and keep you ROCKING IT BIG TIME!
