Now that we know that The NHL is coming to Las Vegas a lot of people here in Southern Utah sound pretty excited about professional hockey….coming to the desert!
Las Vegas for years has tried to get a professional team, but FOR SOME REASON (Could it be all the gambling??) it never quite worked out.
the NHL will be coming to Las Vegas as soon as the 2017-18 season. the NHL’s nine-member executive committee was unanimous in its decision to recommend expansion.
When the NHL set an expansion fee of $500 million, Bill Foley, the man behind the “Vegas Wants Hockey” movement, didn’t flinch at the price.
Currently the chairman of Fidelity National Financial, Inc., Black Knight Financial Services and ServiceLink, Foley made his fortune in the finance world.
And it looks like the new T mobile arena will be where all the action is going down! The building has a seating capacity of 17,500 for hockey and boasts 44 luxury suites.
But with all this going for them….THE TEAM STILL DOES NOT HAVE A NAME!!!!!!!
The Las Vegas Aces? Cowboys? Gamblers? I’m sure we will know soon enough!
