Journey Leads List Of Best Driving Songs

Post 112 of 227

If Journey’s music fuels your journeys, you aren’t alone.  Thirty-percent of those taking part in Insurance.com’s poll of the Best and Worst Songs for Driving give a nod to “Don’t Stop Believin’,” putting it at the top of the Best list.  And it’s one of two Journey songs in the top five.  “Any Way You Want It” is tied for third place tie with AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long.”  Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” ranks second, while  Tom Cochrane’s “Life is a Highway” rounds out the top five.  ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ “American Girl,” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Born To Run” are also in the top ten.

Meanwhile, 29-percent find “Who Let The Dogs Out?” tough to listen to — at least when they’re behind the wheel.  That percentage is putting the Baha Men’s hit at the top of the Worst Songs list.  Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” follows in second place, with Cher’s “Believe” at number three.  Morris Albert’s “Feelings” and Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” complete the Worst top five.  However, while Swift’s massive hit ranks high among the Worst Songs, she joins Bruno Mars in leading the rundown of drivers’ “guilty-pleasure listening favorites.”  Journey and Madonna are also on the guilty-pleasures list, along with Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry.
