Sir Ozzy of The Round Table?
The Prince of Darkness might be adding another royal title to his resume! Yeah man, Sir Ozzy! A knight! Who would POSSIBLY take issue with that?
Uh.. Verily I might haveth a problem.
Renfair geeks aside, a campaign is under way at Causes.com urging Queen Elizabeth to recognize Ozzy with a knighthood. The online petition is addressed to “Honours and Appointments Secretariat – Cabinet Office (U.K.) David Spooner,” and outlines why the undersigned believe Osbourne is worthy of the honor.
“SHAAAAARRRONNNNN!!”
It mentions Ozzy’s “40 years of service to the music industry,” explaining that Osbourne has been a great inspiration and entertainer both as Black Sabbath’s vocalist and as a solo artist. I’m guessing they left out the head biting and Alamo pissing. Or. I don’t know, maybe the British are into that.
The brochure reads “Urine free since ’83″.
The petition adds that the recognition is “well deserved and long overdue.” The Queen has two annual lists in which she names British citizens for national awards. The Queen’s Birthday Honours list comes out in June, and the New Year’s Honours list is unveiled at the end of each year. I’m not holding my breath, but that would be REALLY cool.

Hello Jon, sorry I didn’t reply sooner, I was just going through this article just now and noticed your comment. I am so glad that you support my cause, it means a lot to me that you do.
I have now so far managed to receive about 2,520 signatures from the time I began my cause earlier this year, it’s been quite a struggle at times but I am not gonna give up on this and I was hoping that I could get your support once again by writing a follow up article on my progress. It would really be a huge boost in signatures, especially now that they have kicked off their World Tour, and with the release of their upcoming album next month.
