I have a soft spot in my heart for Pearl Jam. Despite the fact that they’ve disappointed me so many times over the years, I still LOVE the Ten album. Every time I listen to it I imagine that they’re apologizing to me for the “Yield” era.
Pearl Jam’s ”Ten” can now change its name to ten MILLION, after becoming only the 22nd album to reach that mark. At least three of those were mine. One got stolen, and then I bought the import with three bonus tracks. You’re welcome. Eddie Vedder.
.According to the kids at Billboard, “Ten” is the newest member of the ten-million-sellers club. It’s the 22nd record to pass the mark since someone with too much time on their hands started tracking sales in 1991, the same year “Ten” was released. Last week, the album sold another four-thousand copies, which brings it’s grand total to about one-thousand copies over ten-million — and counting. Wait? People are still out buying CD’s? Weird.
