The Walking Dead just got even BETTER

I’m not alone when I say that The Walking Dead on AMC is the best show on TV right now.  Last Fall when DISH Network dropped AMC, (which at one time stood for “American Movie Classics” and played James Cagney movies 24 hours a day) calls poured into some poor outsourced call center by the millions.

 

So when AMC dropped the zombie bomb that they were going to make The Walking Dead even BETTER I obviously scoffed.  How could this be?   As it turns out, it was not all that hard.  They’re going to re-run the first season in black and white.  Dude, niiiiice.

 

A tribute to the horror classics that have been shot that way, and of course to the mother of all zombie classics, 1968′s “Night of the Living Dead”.  Which  was filmed in black and white due to a lousy budget but that ended up making it about 10,000 times scarier.  Even with that, I was skeptical but I watched episode 1 last night and I’ll be a walkers uncle if I was not an even bigger fan than before.  Check out “Walking Dead Black and White ” Sunday’s on AMC.  Now if you’ll excuse me I need to sharpen my machete and load up the 12 gauge just in case.
