I think it’s fairly ironic that a group of people who make lists of dull people have the audacity to make lists about dull people. But that’s exactly what they’ve done and both Rod Stewart and Iggy Pop made the list
The singers are on the Dull Men’s Club’s “Dull Man of the Year – 2012″ list. Stewart is getting the distinction for his love of model trains. He’s been featured on the cover of “Model Railroader” magazine, and has discussed his love of model trains on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” Pop landed on the list for comments he made last year to the London “Sunday Times.” He tells the paper he starts his day with a walk through the garden, smelling the flowers and looking at his koi pond, and then he’ll “watch the clouds,” adding that he’s “a big cloud fancier.” At the time he also said he was reading Tocqueville’s “Democracy in America,” which didn’t earn him points for leading an exciting life.
Rod Stewart and model trains? Really?
Others on the list include a UK man who has been “photographing all 115-thousand postboxes throughout Britain,” and a researcher at the University of London who has discovered that “goats have accents.” Pretty important stuff there guys. Thanks.
