We all know how much Axl Rose HATES being on time to anything. But it looks like tardiness may cost him big this time around. Usually if you or I are late for something we get a verbal warning at work, or spend two hours wondering how the hell Batman became a dirty old hermit. This is big. 20 MILLION DOLLARS big. Even if you’re Axl Rose, that’s gotta hurt
According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” the Guns N’ Roses frontman is on the verge of losing a 20-million-dollar lawsuit against “Guitar Hero 3″ makers Activision Blizzard because he didn’t act fast enough. The video game was released in 2007, but Rose waited until 2010 to sue the company over allegedly being fraudulently induced into authorizing the use of GNR’s “Welcome to the Jungle.” What? Why would you have a problem with THAT? Oh yeah, Rose claims that Activision Blizzard never told him his former bandmate Slash would be featured so prominently in the game. Oh c’mon it’s not like they put him on the cover or anything.
Problem is, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charles Palmer says that he was inclined to dismiss the suit at a summary judgement hearing on Thursday. Palmer took the matter under submission, and a full decision is expected in the next few weeks. In the meantime, I think Axl can afford to miss a meal or two
